Went back and forth between doing it that way and the seed-way, flipped a coin, this way won. The point of seed numbering is people used it in their lists. |

That just makes it even worse though cuz I shouldn't have faced Byron in the first round, it should've been Killing Joke facing Byron. I should've been against Hale Storm. This whole thing is just one big sham when we don't follow simple playoff protocol. 🤷 Might as well just hand the GP gift wrapped to you again and just move on to the draft... Cuz that's all that's probably going to happen. It's one of the shittiest things I've ever seen in ManMMA; Era 1 or 2. It's bullshit. |

Yes, but the top teams shouldn't be able to pick & choose who the face when they already have the advantage of facing a lesser team, particularly the top 3, based on the standings. They're already have an advantage and are a lot top team... Being able to pick & choose your opponent is overkill and promotes keeping top teams at the top, and bottom teams at the bottom. 🤷 So of course this stupid idea got traction with folks cuz it allows them to cheat within the rules... And yes, being able to choose your opponent IS cheating. |

How is it cheating if everyone is allowed to? Just because someone puts forth a stupid idea as rule doesn't mean it's not cheating in principle. The rankings/seeding is there for that exact purpose, not so top teams can circumvent getting a potential "bad match-up" if a lower ranked could actually beat them, allowing them to carve their own easiest path to the final. That IS cheating. |
