Maybe. But in practise, this is likely how it would pan out: Odds exist. JJ is downgraded, deleting like 50 used points. Odds change. Bet is placed, but new odds exist... Bullies wins 2 points. ...Puts 2 points into JJ. Net gain: -48 points That's why he'd have to bet before he downgraded, because then he'd get the odds he bet on, and then they'd change after the downgrade. But then it would be this: JJ is downgraded like 50 points Bullies bets 42 at (+775), where he'd win 33 points, and get his 42 back. Leaving him with 75 points, he dumps 50 that were deleted back in to JJ, and leaves with a profit of 25 points. Do it Bullies! What you described is insider gambling, and illegal. If he uses any insider knowledge to affect his bet (like betting before, knowing he would be removing points), he would be breaking the law, resulting in a fine of 48 points. Net gain: -48 points
