The current plan is to have 10-event seasons, that will play out like this:
1. Event 1 (ManMMA 1, ManMMA 11, ManMMA 21, etc)
- season officially begins
2. Event 5 (ManMMA 5, ManMMA 15, ManMMA 25, etc)
- Possibly Survivor Series. We will see how our numbers look, and if we can make Survivor Series work.
- If we don't have the numbers for a Survivor Series, this is also the absolute best time to suggest changes for next season! Waiting until the end of the season leads to problems, as starting event 10, The Sandman becomes busy as hell on a regular basis. GP is busy-times
3. Event 8 (ManMMA 8, ManMMA 18, ManMMA 28, etc)
- Once this event is posted, a roster freeze takes effect.
- You may not swap fighters or trade after this point.
- Grand Prix lists are requested at this time, and should be submitted ASAP.
4. Event 10 - Zenith (ManMMA 10, ManMMA 20, ManMMA 30, etc)
- The "Wrestlemania" of ManMMA, where the best of the best fight at one pinnacle event.
- Last event of the "regular season".
5. Season Wrap-Up
- After the Zenith fights, final stats and standings are tabulated.
- The teams who qualify for Grand Prix are announced.
- The draft is opened.
- Busy season - if we could keep complaints, bitching, epic conflicts and debates to a minimum after Zenith, it would be much appreciated. From this point on, The Sandmen's life becomes busy as hell, and he has no time for end-of-season debate drama.
6. The Grand Prix
- The "playoffs" of ManMMA.
- Once The Grand Prix fights are announced, the trade freeze is lifted.
- Fighters may be traded to other teams, or released, but no new fighters can be claimed from FA until after the draft.
7. Post-Season & Draft
- Once the Grand Prix concludes, focus shifts to the draft, and next-season prep.
- Again, trading with other teams is open, releasing fighters is open, but swapping is limited strictly to draft-selections.
- Season Awards voting starts - send in any nominations ASAP!
8. Conclusion of Draft
- Once the draft is completed, all swaps, trades, and exchanges are open again.
- Season awards voting continues, and ideally concludes.
- End of Season point-bonus payout
- The next season will begin shortly.
