We have 4 male weight classes and 2 women's divisions. For the most part, we've merged real life weight classes into these categories:
We tried to put fighters where they had the most success in their careers, but in some cases, because of the average sizs of a fighter in these merged weightclasses, a fighter made more sense in a higher weightclass (i.e. Jon Jones is at HW instead of MW)
Because every fighter was built on a scale based on their weightclass, at this time we can't have fighters moving up or down in weightclass.
