i dont even know if i do this so i dont know if this affects me but if it affacts what i do i have a big problem with it. i save points so i have an idea of what i want to do with a guy and my upgrades are covering a whole side of what i want to do. i cant just do 2 or 4 at a time even though i think thats how it should be done but i do better when im like i want to work on this guys offence so i want to max these skills in this order, but i cant do that with 2 poionts once a week over a month i want to sit on those points long enough to get a handle on ok this 10-20 points should be able to clean up this guy and make him a good ground fighter so i do takedown and strength and gnp and stuff all in one swoop. i dont want to be chipping away i want to get it done. maybe its like i dont want to buy shit on installment plans i want to buy it outright and thats how i look at upgradin. i dont think i should lose points or not be able to upgrade the way i want to. if im not upgradin my guy then he sucks and you guys benefit. i wish everyone upgraded and cared like everyone in this thread but if im not ugprading then you guys who are upgrading are making your guys better and have more chance at belts and shit. guess i dont understand the advantage to forcing people to spend their points. i do see the advantage to you guys who upgrade and think about things only 1 way over guys like me who think about things a different way and im not sure that that is fair. i agree we dont need anyone probably sitting on 60-100 points which i think someone actually is right now but what if instead of making more rules we just tagged them all the time like The Rocketmen used to when we had point limits on the last site?? that seemed to work didnt it?? and then we dont add more damned rules and limits if those guys just be spending their points more than once every 19 months i mean i think i do what i can and try and sometimes my bank gets high but you force me to only spend a few points on an upgrade and do it every week that aint gonna work for me Instead, it would be like you have 40 points and throw ten points in to four fighters. Or throw ten in to them before one fight, and then wait until their next scheduled fight and upgrade ten points again. That would benefit from making it impossible for a guy who is 2-9 on a 7 fight losing streak to become a champion over night.

like the realism i get that we dont want people going from cm punk to gsp between 2 fights slow is good but at the same time if a guy in real life trains wrestling a whole camp that will show the way i upgrade where his takedowns and strength and gnp will all improve not just 2 points of upgrade worth is what i mean so it plays into the realism thing people talkin about too I think it's less than ten points to max a stat, so if you do two points of five stats, you're doing more than it appears.

Unless I'm misunderstanding all of this I think that having an argument that we want people to spend points and then putting something in the place that stops people from spending points is probably counter intuitive no?

Well, the idea was to spread the wealth more. I'm glad you brought up some of the things you did. I definitely don't want to force people how to spend their points.

Well, the idea was to spread the wealth more. I'm glad you brought up some of the things you did. I definitely don't want to force people how to spend their points. Well, that's effectively what this suggestion proposes though, really. 🤷 I get the "realism" aspect of it, somewhat, but this also a fantasy league too. That's part of the reason why I never had a problem with folks being able to have anyone they wanted, to a degree. Sure, guys like Punk at 0-3 or 0-2-1, and were barely there for a cup of coffee, they shouldn't be allowed, as fun as that would be, but there's plenty of really good fighters that were/have been around for a long time that maybe didn't quite win the big one, yet were nearly always in the picture, like Jason MacDonald, for example... And I still have issue with the fact that somehow Shayna Baszler is "allowed" in ManMMA, even though she never actually won a proper MMA title, yet Sarah D'Alelio is "not allowed", even though she won the same catch wrestling tournaments that Baszler did, and wasn't runner-up or 3rd place like Baszler was. Seems like a double standard. 🤷
