NOOOOO! What an AWFUL end to an epic fight! These guys are both so defensively solid, that while both were working very hard to be offensive, neither was making a lot of progress towards finishing the other. Despite the output from both men, this was almost certainly going to a decision, and I have absolutely no idea how the judges would have scored this one. Holloway was winning on damage for a lot of the fight, but Cruz had long bursts of control and domination. But I think the momentum-meter-stats-people (whoever they are - let's just call them the "Vegas live-odds" moving forward), had about a 60% chance of Holloway winning this fight at this stage, and about 70% that he was winning this round. Holloway and his team are PISSED at that..."small nose cut" stoppage. Just brutal.
