And sure, Georges St-Pierre is my mentor, and you guys have that fodder to deal with too, but, at the end of the day, I'm currently a number contender. So is Jonny... If ManMMA figures it's better for us to fight that out, that's not my decision. If it were... Fitchy would get his shot, then I beat Fitchy or BJ. That's out of my hands. Rory MacDonald: No. I can beat anybody in this division, whether it's BJ and the Bear, Jon Fitch, Georges St-Pierre, that bitch Khabib, or anyone... That's not the point. I'll fight anyone. But, to me, Jonny clearly gets his shot at BJ first cuz of what Georges did. I'm certainly not going to rob him of that opportunity by staking claim to it cuz of an anomaly, like that bitch Khabib tried to do. I'll fight Jon if I have to, and if ManMMA deems that I do. Again, that's not my decision. I want the strap... And I don't care who I have to go through to get it. Now, let someone else ask a question...

Earlier in the night your teammate Ryan Bader lost to Fabricio Werdum of The Texas Rattlesnakes. Rumor has it there were some words exchanged between Bader and Werdum after the fight. Did you hear anything about that?

Rory MacDonald: Well, since Helwani seems to be on vacation or something, I'll cut you some slack today, since you appear to be new... Phoenix FC is about as tight-knit of group as you can get, especially the people that have been with us previously in Era 1, like myself, Dom, Darth, Jules, Creep, Tito, along with our coaches JMac and Monster, who were fighters with the organization in Era 1. We all have our different pre-fight and post-fight routines and rituals that we do to prepare or wind down from any given fight. We really don't converse a lot the day of an event, unless we're helping out with corner duties, and we're not fighting. We rarely see each other when we're fighting on the same card except to wish each other well on the fight or after the fights at these media scrums. JMac and Monster have run things quite well and we'll get together at HQ for video day to go over what went well and what didn't, as a group, and prepare for the next card accordingly. And, personally, I think your insinuation and assertion that there's any descension within our group is laughable, at best.
