Do you guys want to do a Survivor Series for season 1?
The activity check PM was to make sure we had the level of activity we would need to do a proper Survivor Series.
Brief reminder of what Survivor Series is
- 2 captains draft fellow members onto their Squads (forming 2 different Survivor Series squads, of 6 members each)
- Each member then chooses a fighter from their own team to participate.
- We have 6 fights, one in each weightclass
- The Squad with the most wins win the Survivor Series!
Questions
- How do we determine captains? A poll
- What happens if after 6 fights, each Squad has 3 wins? Squad with the fastest finish acts as a tie-breaker
- What do we get for winning? Points!
- Will these fights affect participants records/quests for the belt? Yes to record; maybe to quest for a belt.
- When would this event take place? ManMMA 10 (with Zenith/season-end being moved to either ManMMA 15 or ManMMA 20)
What's required of me if we do a Survivor Series?
First, voting on captains (if we went that route - I guess it can be randomized or something, but polls are always best)
Second, if you are drafted onto a team, selecting your fighter.
Good team communication helps, so in the past, Squad Captains have typically started private team PMs to work out the best strategy for fighter selection. Again, it is the TEAM, not the CAPTAIN who chooses your fighters. So communication with Captain before hand to develop a full, powerful squad helps.
