I mentioned this somewhere, then never got around to posting an official suggestion. But I don't see why anyone would care if we implement it, so let's give er a go, starting right f-ing now! Wait, what are we doing? In a nutshell, The Sandman will get paid points each week like everyone else, and can use them to upgrade fighters who are not on a team. Those fighters become draft-eligible fighters at the end of the season, entering the draft pool. Why?Mostly, so our drafts and picks have value. In turn, some cool, forgotten fighters might get some love, and we should get more trades, and movement. Further, there are a lot of neglected fighters who might get swapped out for new, upgraded replacements! Lots of good things! Does this mean Sandman has a team?Absolutely not. He owns no fighters. He only upgrades people, and only has the same point availability as everyone else. I might start doing predictors for a bonus point to put into people though. Can we swap for these people mid-season?I think we should go with no. Open to debate, I guess, but it makes more sense to me that if they are upgraded, they go into the Draft pool, and need to be drafted. Any other crazy ideas related to this, Sandman?YES! So I actually might consider booking the odd prospect in actual ManMMA fights when I run out of opponents for the neglected scrubs to fight. We have fighters in ManMMA who have less than like, 3 wins. At least one only has 1 damned win. So it helps shake things up if they have different competition. And it can give you a sample of how good (if at all) the prospects are Will Prospects ever be title-eligible, or fight ranked opponents? No. No non-ManMMA fighters are eligible for ranks or title fights. I don't like this because...(post below)

Love this and definitely like that they can fight. Id almost recommend doing a "prospects reveal" announcement to show us what fighters are the seasons development fighters.

Yeah, like a top prospect for each weight or something. You definitely don't want to upgrade like everyone. Also, is there a cap to how much you can put in them? Will the upgrades be public?

Yes public. Basically im looking to add The Sandman to points and basically be considered a team on points page, game wins etc Because of no cap (only my judgement) im not sure how much i want to limit who/ what gets upgrades. We can still iron out the details, but basically, I think what I was imagining was all the fighters exist and then basically, as soon as I start upgrading them for the first time in a season that basically moves them to the ”Prospect Pool“ for that seasons, draft, and, if applicable, out of the free agency pool. though i am not necessarily locked into this method, the one neat thing about it Is that it is almost like the draft prospects are slowly being revealed over the course of the season. Almost how certain rookies stock rises and falls season progresses in real life.

That is cool, but I personally wouldn't want you putting in a shit ton of points on a prospect if I've been wanting them and plan to take them in a different direction ya know? Part of the fun is building your own fighters how you want to. If everyone else disagrees with me, then carry on.

Similarly, since they are bonus points, anything I put in can be removed if people want a fighter but dont like what I have done with them. But yeah...im not going to put limitations on things, but I think it should be safe to say im not pumping 40 points into 1 fighter either. That's not at all what this is about. That said, the team that drafted Connor McDavid didn't complain too much when they drafted him with a shit-ton of points already put into him, so sometimes maybe the first overall pick should be THAT valuable.

I'll agree to that for actual legit fighters, sure
