Cormier took his role as spoiler pretty seriously here, and wanted to make sure Coleman could not advance on the Road to the HW title. Coleman is kinda pissed, but had he won, he would not have been pissed.
Editorial sidenote, this was the cleaner outcome, so while ManMMA has no official stance on who wins or who we cheer for, Coleman losing this fight makes the rest of the Road to the HW Championship much, much cleaner. We like Coleman, and wish him well in the future, but also, a small thank you to Cormier for keeping ManMMA championship paths as clean as possible. At least for now.
