- Oh, you said orange man good? You're fired. This is what Republicans tell themselves is happening. But when you look at what is actually happening, each case is different, and each case usually involves some byproduct of orange-man syndrome (like saying facts are not real, elections are rigged, or the Clintons run a pedophile op). i.e. Roseanne was not deleted from Roseanne because she supported Trump - it was because she said a black woman looked like an ape and made holocaust jokes. It just seems Republicans, particularly orange-man cultists, like spreading misinformation or dangerous theories, and less and less of society is on board with those things. I listened to an interview with Tom Arnold recently, and he basically said he was sad that Roseanne burned herself, but even more sad with how her PR team managed her. Basically said that as soon as she was coming back to television, he would never have let her touch a computer. Said it was a failure on her team for not controlling that part, because it ultimately ruined her. It is kind of crazy to think that celebrities pay people to maintain their public image, and Roseanne either refused to let that happen and thus went down in her own fiery blaze, or her team failed to do their job. But it's a weird self-imposed big brother rule. Whole thing is bizarre really. |

The whole thing is very frustrating because it just hurts everyone. Literally everyone. No one is better because of the shit Carano/Rosanne posted. And 2 shows I really enjoyed are ruined because those people were cancelled out of them.
I don't believe in permanently cancelling people or things - I believe in education, rehabilitation, and second chances, and cancel culture (which is now becoming an incredibly politically-charged word that i cringe at ever using), is eliminating the avenues people have available to learn and grow as human beings.

Who knows though, Disney 'Fired' James Gunn but they then rehired him. This is true. Just a sad thing to see, it just seems like whenever conservatives talk about censorship it is always the mask off anti-sematic type comments that they are concerned about. That is also true. And where I get frustrated with partisan lines, because it just starts to feel like one "side" doesn't have the most basic regard for other people. When I hear people saying Black Lives Matter is a terrorist organization and all lives matter so they should shut up, then also saying they have the freedom to troll-storm a grocery store as a mob without masks just to be dicks, it's gets to be a lot. I can't help but feel BLM stuff is an ignorance issue, and these people just simply do not understand how black lives are actually in danger more frequently and proportionately than white ones. Which takes us back to some of Carano's posts. Being fucking conservative is not the same level of persecution as being Black or Jewish. Christ, half of them are the Christian Right, and our calenders were literally created around them and their fucking deity. |

Part of me wanted to try one, but 2 seconds of reading the back, the cringe was too much. Even for me - a guy who bought and actually watched "Bibleman: A Fight for Faith: LIVE!"  |

I watched the first Gods not dead a few years back. Can’t lie it was pretty cringe and the acting kinda sucked. But it did have a good message.
