We at "Headline: ManMMA" caught up with Flyweight star, Valentina Shevchenko to discuss her upcoming return fight against Yuka Tsuji. "I'm excited to come back" Shevchenko said when asked about her return. Shevchenko has been out of action since suffering a broken cheekbone against Jessica Eye back at ManMMA 6. "I'm hoping for a quick turnaround after fighting Tsuji at ManMMA 18, and hopefully it's someone in the top five at Zenith." When asked what her thoughts are of her upcoming opponent, she was hesitant on her answer: "I have no negative feelings towards Tsuji; however, I don't believe she is ready for this level of competition. She is currently unranked, and I feel like I should be getting a ranked opponent, but I am not the matchmaker. After I defeat Tsuji, I would like to challenge someone in the top five. Whether it be (Leslie) Smith, (Jessica) Penne, (Weili) Zhang, (Jessica) Eye, or (Joanna) Jedrzejczyk. I know I won't be fighting for the vacant belt, but I feel I deserve one of those girls, so whoever isn't fighting for the belt out of those five." Shevchenko made sure to note that she was not looking past Tsuji, and is training very hard for this fight, but she is confident she'll earn the stoppage victory without taking much damage in return. We have been unable to reach Yuka Tsuji of The Mighty Ducks for comment, but it can be expected she is training hard and looking for a huge upset in her next fight. Shevchenko (-300) is currently (1-1) in ManMMA, Tsuji (+250) is (1-1-1) in her own right.

Jessica Eye Oh you want me to respond? Was being sent the hospital not good enough? Did you meet a hot doctor? Is that why you want to go back?
