Do you guys want to do a SuperFight Championship in season 2?
Default set-up would be how we finished Era 1 - at draft, 1st overall drafter selects the weightclass the SF title is fought at for that season, every subsequent drafter chooses who will fight for the belt that season, etc.
Also open to different SF ideas. Post 'em here.

Is it wrong of me to say we should wait a bit before adding the SF Belt? Although I guess it is a glorified interim belt, which I don't hate. It might be too early, but the thing I always liked about it was that it gave people some control over title shots. Since we were doing tournaments, this was a way for someone to directly challenge for a belt, and get that title shot. That part of it was what I always liked about it. The actual title shot at the end was just sort of a way to reward someone for having it. But that could be fine-tuned as well, like rewarding a certain number of title defences instead of giving a title shot at the end or something. I really liked the idea of an ongoing, openweight belt. But the HWs in the past proved that size matters too much to do that, which sucks. BUT MAYBE SINCE EVERYONE SUCKS RIGHT NOW, IT WON'T?  |

I like the division stuff. I also liked the title shot at the end of the season too.

I have enough trouble trying to win regular championships 😂. Honestly I’m okay either way as long as it’s super clear what (if anything) I need to do

its like you should wait until theres more fighters and more competition but if we wait the hws will all be good enough to beat all the lighter guys whereas now a light guy like penn could probably beat a lot of the hws who are not developed so i dont think it would be a hw locked title right now. so im 50-50 its kinda like it makes sense to do open weight right now then weightclass the sf title later maybe? its cool having a challenge belt but if its just hws winning its stupid but we dont know til we try?

Didn't we do SF based on weight class? Like one season only HWs could fight for it and the next only MWs could? That's what I remember at least. This is what it evolved into. When it first came in, SF was a challenge belt that anyone could challenge for, at any time (it didn't have to be issued at the draft type thing). Once our average HWs were developed enough, they started walking through excellent MWs, so we killed open weight, and made it based on the weightclass thing you described here. |
