Some notes/explanations: 1) Fighter of the Year - damned-near impossible this year, so we compared competition, and though most of our champions had stiff competition, Penn's might have been a sliver better than others. I also really didn't want to take the number of fights into consideration here, so while several 7-1 fighters were worthy of this award, much of that value came in fights after their 5th fight, thus disadvantaging the 4-0 or 5-0 fighters in those comparisons. In the end, this had to be a champ, and as I said, it came down to competition and Penn looked good. 2) Rookie of the Year - also damned-near impossible, since the whole league is a rookie. For this, I wanted to go with Stipe Miocic, especially after his MVP-worthy performance at the GP. But 2 things stopped me. First, like section 1 on this list, most of his epic/underdog wins came after his 5th fight. But second, and mostly this, he came in at an elite rating, so while he got better as the season went on, his initial overall was higher in relation to his competition compared to someone like Jessica Eye, whose excellent season was largely the result of development by her team. 3) The Chosen Ones can have a point as runner-up for the Dan Henderson award. (This is why I wasn't giving you a point for being in the Post Hall of Fame, ya see?) Therefore, The Rocketmen: +1 West Coast Knockouts (Member of the Year) +1 Texas Rattlesnakes (Dedicated Member) +1 Rocketmen (Contributor of the Year) +1 The Hale Storm ("Just Cuz" Award) +1 Ferocity (Dan Henderson winner) +1 The Chosen Ones (Dan Henderson runner-up)

I read this left to right like a normal person first. Then I realized what was going on. Two bad jokes and a good one. Disappointment of the year already?
