Only way to graduate with no debt here is scholarships, have rich parents, or go to a community College.

America is like a rich third world country. They’re so messed up with how they do everything.

I think I am going to say the same things as others. I think more knowledge on finance is really important. Understanding things like stocks and investments. How to budget for things, how to take on debt responsibly. Setting expectations on how long realistically it is going to take to pay your debt off. Even just an understanding of how money and labor relate to each other. That you are committing yourself to working and the tightening of the noose around your neck.

I’m kind of shocked how many people have mentioned learning to do taxes... what part of taxes do people feel like they didn’t learn? There is only addition, subtraction, and multiplication needed to do your taxes math wise (I guess an understanding of the relationship between percentages and multiplication ie how to find 30% of something). There is a need to know how to look things up in an index (both for what the tax line refers to and to any terms you might not fully understand within the context). You need to be able to follow sequential instructions.
Is it not to be scared to do taxes? Like a familiarity thing? I’ve been doing my own taxes since I graduated high school with the odd year I’d take them to H&R out of laziness and/or starting a new career with different tax needs (working from a home office and using my own vehicle for instance). I do use the “free” programs now- but again it’s because I’m lazy and picking up the actual paper forms is becoming less common,
I do doubt myself every year at tax time, but I’ve never felt like I couldn’t answer the questions asked.

Mental health care. I know that being educated about it would have helped me with big battles down the road. Any specific things about mental health care? Like knowing about mental heath issues like ADHD, depression, etc, or more like things like how to manage things like stress and anxiety etc? Other things? All of the above. I hate that it's treated as a taboo topic. It has an impact on a lot of people throughout their life, and I feel like having some knowledge would be beneficial.
