This looked a lot like their real life fights. Cody was doing well and probably winning. Then he decided to stop doing that, and Dillashaw got some shots in. Then Cody decided he didn't know how to fight anymore, and let Dillashaw do whatever he wanted with him. And Dillashaw chose violence.
