You having the sense that you NEED a gun is apart of the problem I dont think I need one, I want one. And there's the other problem, going back to people seeing guns as a toy instead of a weapon. It's the American mindset. Americans: We need to change in order to stop all of these shootings Every Other Country In The World: Ban the guns, make them much more difficult to obtain Americans: Cmon guys be serious, that will never work. Here's an idea, we'll give the teachers guns! Every Other Country In The World: That's not a very smart idea... Americans: And we'll have volunteers as well Every Other Country In The World: Will you at least do background checks? Americans: Don't be preposterous, that doesn't do anything Breaking News: Teacher kills kid while trying to stop gunman Americans: Oh the poor families, my thoughts and prayers to you all

I don't think guns are a toy. Nobody I know who has guns think they're toys. Everyone outside just assumes and assumes. Some are crazy, but not most. It's a different culture that definitely needs change, but as we've said every time. Things that work other places might not work here. No point in being a prick to the guys who want the change, respect the weapon, and follow the law.

Usa needs to change the 2nd ammendment... or at least uphold the ammendment AS WRITTEN! Not upholding to what they think it means.

That can be a lot of things. How easy it is, is another thing entirely. At the end of the day, you guys don't live in the US and don't know the way people here think or operate. Just like we don't know enough to tell you anything about Canada.

I work more with Americans than I do Canadians. And that's across the States, from California to Massachusetts

And conversations about guns come up often in that line of work, with people in one of the reddest states?

And conversations about guns come up often in that line of work, with people in one of the reddest states? On one of our job sites one of our installers (guy we were using from the States that we didn't know very well) got pissed off at the guys he was bunking with and pulled a gun on them. They kicked his ass, he got fired and sued. So to answer your question, yes, guns come up in conversation.

Yeah, crazy instances like that happen. They suck. Hate to see it on the news. Hate to see people die like that. But I'm not breaking the law, so why should I be punished? Guns are so deeply rooted in culture here, which is why I feel like the first step would be letting people who already have them be grandfathered in.

The problem is guns shouldn't be deeply rooted anywhere lol
