So I've gained quite a bit of weight over the past two years (156 lbs-223 lbs) and on Monday I started what is known as a water diet. It's where you're only around to drink water and you eat nothing. I'm doing this for 15 days and today is day 5. Once I'm done this, on day 16 I am allowed only broth because your body can't handle solid food right away and then I've decided to do only vegetable soup (with chicken or beef for protein) for two weeks afterwards. I thought I'd bring you down my journey to getting back to around 170 lbs where I should be.
These are my weigh ins for the start of each day:
Day 1: 223.2 lbs Day 2: 219.8 lbs Day 3: 217.4 lbs Day 4: 215.2 lbs Day 5: 212.8 lbs
So far by the beginning of day 5 I am down 10.4 lbs which averages to 2.6 lbs/day so by the end of day 15 I should be down around 39 lbs though over time I think the average will bring me down to 35 lbs. If that's the case by the end of the 15 days I should weigh in at 184 lbs.

I started taking a fiber supplement before bed a few months ago, and I'm really starting to see the affects now. I was 185 in my... prime?... and then got up to 235 lbs. Right now I'm 195. It has taken a lot longer, but I still eat how I want, and my goal is being met. I've been recommending the fiber to anyone who wants to lose weight themselves. Good luck! I hope you reach your goal.

There's actually these really good gummies that are high in fiber and low in sugar. Damn delicious and you can eat a whole bag and it's only 120 calories.

The nice thing about Fiber is you eat smaller portions because you are full faster. Fiber expands in your stomach.

My go to meal from McDonald’s is 20 nuggets, chicken McMuffin and a double cheeseburger and I’m still hungry after that

This is probably great (though don't turn your water diet into a permanent thing, that will likely kill you). I think the key to any diet is not just the weight loss, but changing your routines in a permanent, meaningful way.
Everyone is different with unique needs, personalities, and different things that work for them. For me, my weight loss was kind of simple. I'm very much a creature of habit and routine, so I ended up losing 50 pounds by just carving a few unnecessary things out of my daily life. Since I haven't missed them basically at all, this thing I'm doing feels perfectly sustainable: - I stopped buying junk food, period. I somewhat replaced that with granola bars (less tastey but more filling, so if I want to snack, i snack less, and get free nutrients out of it too). - I have water around at all times and force myself to drink from that often, especially if I feel I'm getting a little bit snacky or restless - I cut my twice-a-day chocolate milk from large down to medium - I started getting thin bread as well as regular bread, so I have way more options for my twice-a-day toasts based on how hungry I am - I started drinking skim milk (outside of with cereal and chocolate mix) The other thing I thought was important was not ever feeling like I was depriving myself. Like, when I started I was like, "Im gonna see what happens if I replace my box of cookies with granola bars. If I feel unhappy, fuck this, I care bout my quality of life more than my appearance". I also let myself splurge on junk when I feel like it, like Halloween, birthday cakes, going out places, etc. But I found the less I have had junk daily, the less I crave it on those special occasions (so I have way less Halloween snacks than I used to).
Unrelated, last spring/summer, I went on daily walks just because I wanted my cardio back - had nothing to do with weight. I should have kept those up, but I got too hot last summer, then broke the routine and never got back into it. I should go walking now, its gorgeous out!
I digress. Ignore me.

I definitely agree with you. I actually went from 212 to 156 doing this but my problem is I love those bad foods and use them for stress relief. I don’t smoke or drink so eating for me is relieves stress. I’m a major binge eater and will eat until I’m gonna puke especially cause I don’t like wasting food. Now I’ve been searching up meals that would fill that craving while being healthy. Also major cookie guy, favourite go to snack which is so bad for me haha

especially cause I don’t like wasting food. Oh I can sooo relate to this. Borderline legit-depresses me wasting food, particularly food that died so I could eat it.

Yup, I will just stuff it down and now am dealing with the consequences haha I think I mostly just save things, so I eat 3 day old takeout leftovers. No consequences. Until I get dysentery or salmonella and die. But hey! I didn't waste the food! YOLO!

When I got back from Israel I didn’t eat that whole day cause I don’t like eating on planes so I stopped at McDonald’s after picking up Tucker from the sitter. Ordered 10 nuggets (free because of points), 2 chicken McMuffins, 2 double cheeseburgers and 2 double hamburgers. Realized after 5 burgers I was getting stuffed, stuffed the last burgers down and had to really stuff down the nuggets. Then had a large Coke Zero that I was struggling to finish haha

The more stressed I get the more unhealthy I eat. Now it’s about trying to find balance where I can eat the foods I enjoy while not overdoing it.
