I feel the need to reiterate that what I posted in my August State of the Union is still true. Still committed, still more than happy to keep doing things here, and giving what I have to give to this site and our operations here. Things have been slow, and will probably remain slow until at least after Christmas, since that is when we have to put the most effort into keeping my mom's depression and anxiety in check, since (if last year is any indication), she basically doesn't remember she completed the things that she is anxious about (shopping), or she starts to get depressed feeling as though she hasn't done anything for anyone for Christmas and is going to ruin the holiday for everyone. But we're working on some new strategies to help manage that, and being more proactive with our expectations, etc. Please note: The goal of these updates is most definitely NOT to be some sort of pity party, or marathon of excuses. I've never been one to air all my life-drama all over the site, or seek attention or make up excuses or anything. I just really appreciate you guys bearing with me during these times, and continuing to sign in, do upgrades, and make the most of what little I'm providing you with here, while I continue to work though all this shit. So I feel a more-than-normal level of personal life transparency is warranted. Not a day goes by when I'm not thinking about this site, or ways to keep it fresh as I'm much slower with life-things. Even in this time of trickle-activity, I cannot express how much I appreciate the fuck out of you guys for continuing to check in, and have patience (and hopefully still some interest) in what we do here. It means a lot. I'll make a proper "Happy Holidays" post in the near future, but until then, best of wishes as you navigate the busyness of this holiday season, my friends! |

The site, for me personally, has become sort of what I always kind of enjoyed about it - a casual place to chit chat about stuff, throw some upgrades, hope my fighters win, and ultimately make sure that the Ducks lose as much as possible.
That's all that really matters to me. Take your time, enjoy your life, and when you get back, make sure the Ducks lose.
