Canada hasn't banned guns but we don't have this problem. Maybe the solution is having a very strict gun policy for who can buy and how they can buy it. Also having to have every gun registered like you would your car.

I agree the policy does need to be more strict. |

Stricter “ghost gun” laws, stricter background checks, and much much stricter registration (for instance, shotguns don’t get registered which is an oversight IMO) would be a huge step. Also, being more careful on mental health history on background checks would’ve a huge assistance |

Some of those statistics do not feel right. 88 guns owned per 100 people. Does that mean 88 out of 100 people own guns, or per 100 people own on average 88 guns? Neither feel accurate. |

I agree - that doesn’t feel right. Also, how many of those guns fire 1 shot every 10 years? I know people who have showcase guns who never fire them. |

I believe that last bit, but I still don't believe 88% of people have guns. It's probably more like 65% and they just have that many guns. |

This is misleading. Only pistols have to be registered. Riflesc until recently ghost guns, and such don’t. Also, the 88% isn’t true - I know someone with over 50 guns so that’ll TOTALLY mess that data up. “Don’t believe everything on the internet” - Abraham Lincoln |
